As certifications programs have proliferated, their credentialing organizations have established a variety of structures and procedures that best suit the specific needs of their constituents. To provide credibility for public and peer acceptance, a certification program should exhibit certain universally accepted criteria. To provide assurance to the public that quality controls have been established and are maintained, ICAB offers evaluation and accreditation to those programs meeting ICAB standards.
